  4. Germany did the same thing. Competing in
  5. her third Olympics, Rosi won gold medals
  6. in the slalom and downhill, and a silver
  7. medal in the giant slalom. Rosi was also
  8. the overall World Cup champion in 1976.

  10. Vreni Schneider of Switzerland won three
  11. medals at the 1994 Olympics: a gold in the
  12. slalom, a silver in the Alpine combined, and
  13. a bronze in the giant slalom. At the 1988
  14. Olympics, Vreni won two gold medals, in the
  15. slalom and giant slalom. That season,
  16. Vreni also won 14 World Cup events,
  17. breaking Ingemar StenmarkΓÇÖs record of 13!
